Below is important information and dates for the Summer I session.
 
The last day to drop and add (using GoWMU) is Friday, May 10 at 11:59 PM. Departments may assist students on Monday, May 13 with dropping or adding classes without academic or financial penalty.
 
After May 13, dropping a class is considered a withdrawal and will show on the academic transcript with a final grade of “W”.  Classes can be withdrawn in GoWMU from May 14 to June 3. The refund schedule is listed in the right column. 

End of the Semester Stats - Spring 2019

  • 375 undergraduates were dismissed, a 9.6% increase over spring 2018. 
  • 149 of the 2018 FTIAC students were dismissed, which is 2 students fewer than spring 2018. 
  • 90% of the 82 Reclaim the W students enrolled for the spring 2019 semester are eligible to continue their studies at WMU.  

Summer I 2019 calendar

May
6 – Classes begin
10 – Last day to drop and add (using GoWMU)
13 – Departmental assistance is available until 5 p.m.; Last day to receive 100% tuition refund
14 – Begin recording withdrawals with a final grade of “W” on the transcript; $100 late add fee begins
17 – Last day to receive a 50% tuition refund for a complete withdrawal
27 – Memorial Day recess – University closed
31 – Last day to receive a 25% tuition refund for a complete withdrawal
 
June
3 – Final day to withdraw from Summer I classes
26 – Session ends
29 – Commencement
 
July
2 – Final grades are due at noon. Students should check their GoWMU account later that afternoon to view their grades.
