Following up with students who have not registered for spring 2020

All eligible students who have not registered for spring courses received a registration reminder email from the Registrar's Office earlier this week. In the email, we included a link to the WMU Course Offerings page and reiterated tips to ensure a smooth registration process (e.g., checking for holds and meeting with an advisor).

If you would like to communicate with unregistered students in your area, there is a Cognos report available to help. The report, 21.00.20 - Students Registered in Prior Terms Not Registered in Future Terms, can be found by going to the Retention folder (21.00). This report excludes students who have graduated, applied for graduation or been academically dismissed. If you have questions, please call John Scott at (269) 387-4308.

Commencement tickets available next Wednesday

Fall graduates will be able to reserve their commencement tickets from Nov. 20 at 8 a.m. through Dec. 9 at 11:59 p.m. A reminder email with a link to the reservation system will be sent to all eligible students.

Final exams are just a few weeks away

Monday, Dec. 9, marks the beginning of fall final exam week. Exams conclude on Thursday, Dec. 12. As a reminder, all final exams are held in the normal classroom unless other arrangements have been made with the Registrar’s Office. Use of classrooms for review sessions must also be scheduled through the Registrar’s Office.

For courses that have both lectures and labs, the time of the exam will be determined from the time of the first lecture period of the week. For courses that have labs only, the exam time will be determined from the time of the first lab period. If a student is assigned four exams during the same day, University policy will allow the student to request one exam to be given at the make-up time. Students should receive early notification from their instructors as to the times and places of their exams.

Reminder: Bronco NetID login process is changing for enrolled students in Jan. 2020

Beginning Jan. 22, students will be required to use two-factor authentication (2FA) as part of their WMU login process. Students who enroll now through Dec. 6 will be automatically entered to win weekly prizes, including a Bluetooth speaker or portable USB charger. If a student has questions or needs assistance with the enrollment process, the Information Technology Help Desk is available at (269) 387-HELP or @email.
