2023-24 FAFSA now available

The 2023-24 academic year FAFSA is available at studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa! All students should apply now and have their 2021 tax information available. Almost everyone is eligible to receive some type of financial assistance. Please direct questions to Student Financial Aid.

Following up with students who have not registered for summer and fall 2023

All eligible students who have not registered for summer and fall courses will receive a registration reminder email from the Registrar's Office by the end of next week. The email contains a link to the WMU Course Offerings page and reiterates tips to ensure a smooth registration process (e.g., checking for holds and speaking with an advisor).

Additionally, all undergraduate students not registered for fall have a Student Success Hub alert and will be receiving a call from their peer navigator in the coming weeks.

If you would like to communicate with unregistered students in your area, there is a Cognos report available to help. The report, 21.00.20 - Students Registered in Prior Terms Not Registered in Future Terms, can be found by going to the Retention folder (21.00). This report excludes students who have graduated, applied for graduation or been academically dismissed. Please email John Scott with questions.

Final exams are just a few weeks away

Exams begin Monday, April 24, and conclude Thursday, April 27. Regularly scheduled class meeting times are not held during exam week.

Spring grades due by noon on May 2

The final grade worksheet is available for grade submission until noon on Tuesday, May 2. Students will not be able to see their grades online until the grade roll process is completed in the Registrar’s Office. This is done shortly after noon on the day grades are due and nightly thereafter.

Did you know? A fun fact from the Registrar...

Brenda Hamlyn, VA coordinator in the Registrar's Office, will retire at the end of this month after 19 years of service to WMU. Whether it was assisting military students with their transition to college life or helping graduates untangle their regalia during commencement, Brenda always went above and beyond with her expertise and a warm smile. Congratulations, Brenda, and thank you. You will be missed!
