"So, you want to be a teacher?" Conference with Aspiring Educators of Michigan

Please join us Saturday, March 28 for our “So You Want To Be A Teacher?” conference! This event is free and open for ALL aspiring educators to attend, to learn more about becoming an educator! 

We are so excited to host you at Western Michigan University on Saturday, March 28 from 8-3PM for a day full of wonderful resources and learning opportunities. Some topics we will cover include Navigating the Union, Contracts, and a panel of future and current educators to chat with!

  • Check-in starts at 8AM, with breakfast being served until 8:30AM
  • We will be starting promptly at 9AM, so please be sure to arrive at least 20 minutes early
  • Parking is available in Lot 41 behind Sangren Hall (999 Rankin Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49006)
    • You will enter through the automatic doors that face the parking lot
  • We will have two panels, one of WMU upperclassmen and another of teachers. Please feel free to prepare any questions you may want to ask current students, new and veteran educators!
