So You Want to Teach Secondary Education?

Interested in teaching secondary school (grades 7-12)? This meeting will introduce you to WMU’s Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education, where we cultivate students to be tomorrow’s future middle and high school disciplinary educators. In this post-baccalaureate program, teacher candidates learn through a clinically-centered program to understand the needs of current secondary students within core content areas (e.g., ELA, mathematics, science, social studies, world langauges). This meeting will discuss the basics of the program, the application process, admissions, and program itself, along with an overview of how this MAT program compares to other options and why this matters to your pathway as an educator. Door prizes and pizza will be provided. To make sure there is ample pizza, attendees are asked to register by Sunday, November 3rd at 6pm.
