Registrar’s Notes – November 10, 2014

Greetings!

As you may remember, a survey was presented several months ago regarding the Registrar's Notes. Your feedback was beneficial and we have implemented some changes based on your recommendations.

One recurring theme was the format of the notes. Many people wanted to see the content displayed within the body of the email. I am happy to let you know that the format has been changed and you will now be receiving the notes each week with the content displayed in an easy to read format.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Have a great week,

Carrie Cumming

Degree Works

Degree Works will be updated on November 16. The upgrade will include minor changes to the "What-If" feature that will make it easier to use. The upgrade eliminates the necessity of selecting a college. Students will now only be required to select a major and minor.

The upgrade will also include improvements to the Planner feature. Students and advisors will be able to create a plan of study which will be able to be viewed in several formats. The plans may be created from templates or on an individual basis and may be locked and unlocked to enable the advisor to control revisions.

Student concern form

As we move closer to the end of the semester, student stress and anxiety will often increase. Faculty or staff concerned about a student can report this using the Student Concern Form. Information recorded on the form is confidential and goes directly to the Dean of Students Office. They will review the concern and follow up with the student. There is a link to the student concern form on the Faculty menu in GoWMU.
