Fall registration

The fall 2015 schedule opened for viewing this morning. Students can search the schedule offerings through GoWMU or on the public website. Fall registration begins Monday, March 16. The priority registration schedule can be found online.

Textbook requisition

All summer I, summer II and fall textbook orders need to be submitted as soon as possible in order to keep WMU compliant with the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008. According to the Act, institutions of higher education must provide required and recommended textbook information with their published course offerings. Instructions and assistance contact information can be found online.

Student information system reauthorization

March is almost upon us and that means it is time for the semi-annual student information system reauthorization. This process is now electronic through GoWMU.

On March 1 all users and their supervisors will receive an email notifying them that reauthorization has started. Users should log into GoWMU and open the WMU Employee Security Reauthorization Form. This form allows each person to check whether a system should be kept or removed. When the user submits the form their supervisor will receive an email notifying them that they are done. The supervisor should then log into GoWMU, open the WMU Supervisor Security Reauthorization Form and approve the user's reauthorization. If a supervisor has multiple employees they may choose to process the approvals after each employee finishes, or wait until they are all ready and process them at the same time.

Reauthorization records will be stored in Banner and can be reported on when needed. Spring reauthorization will begin March 1. The deadline is March 15 for employees, while supervisors will be able to process approvals until 5 p.m. on March 18. Please direct questions to the Registrar's Office.
