Additional financial aid for summer I

The Financial Aid Office is offering students additional aid for the Summer I 2016 term. Undergraduate students may be eligible for up to $2,500 in grants for full-time enrollment; graduate students may be eligible for up to $1,000 in grants for full-time enrollment. Students will need to complete a 2015-16 FAFSA and submit a Summer I financial aid application to be considered for this first-come, first-served aid.

Additional funding in the form of loans is available for many students, including those who might not qualify for need-based aid, by submitting the same forms above. Spring 2017 schedule building

The Spring 2017 schedule will be available for editing in Banner beginning on Monday, April 18. To help with your planning, here is a summary of the schedule building dates:

 April 18 - Round one working reports are available in Cognos and access is granted for edits in Banner.

May 27 - Round one edits should be completed in Banner, access is revoked at 5 p.m. All special requests forwarded to the Registrar's Office.

July 11 - Round two working reports are available in Cognos. All changes should be noted on the working report or a schedule change form.

July 15 - Round two deadline to have all signed working reports returned to the Registrar's Office.

Sep 16 - Textbook orders are due.

Sep 26 - Course offerings open for viewing.

Oct 10 - Registration begins at 8 a.m.

Free campus shredding event

Tomorrow is the free campus shredding event hosted by the GLBA Committee. Bring your unwanted professional or personal documents, CDs, DVDs and Floppy Disks to Lot 41 near Sangren Hall between 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Data Guardian will be on site to ensure your materials are properly destroyed and recycled. April Commencement RSVP

Thursday, April 14 is the last day for graduating students to RSVP for the commencement ceremony. The RSVP form can be found in GoWMU. Reserved tickets will be available for pickup at the WMU Bookstore Shops located on the main level of the Bernhard Center during regular hours starting on Monday, April 18.

  • Saturday, Apr. 30—Semester Ends; Commencement
  • Tuesday, May 3—Final grades are due by noon
  • May 9—Summer I Classes begin at 8 a.m.
  • May 9—Tuition and fees due
  • May 13—Last day to drop and add classes; last day to receive 100% refund
  • May 16—Census
  • May 17—$100 late add fee begins; Begin recording withdraws as "w" on transcript
  • May 20—Last day to receive 50% refund for a complete withdrawal
  • June 3—Last day to receive 25% refund for a complete withdrawal
  • June 6—Last day to withdraw from classes
  • June 25—Commencement
  • June 29—Term ends
  • July 5—Final grades due by noon
