Fall 2019 withdraw numbers

The number of students withdrawing from classes has been declining over the last four years. This semester, 15 percent fewer students partially withdrew than in fall 2018.

Hardship withdrawal process

As a reminder, the last day for students to withdraw from fall classes was Oct. 28. Withdrawal from a course will now only be permitted through the hardship panel withdrawal process via the Office of the Ombudsman.

Reminder: spring 2020 course material submissions

If you are teaching a course next spring and you have not submitted your course materials, please do so as soon as possible. According to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, WMU is required to publish textbook information with our course offerings. Materials can be submitted through the Discover submission program or via email to Mark Kuepfer (mark.kuepfer@wmich.edu). If you are using the same materials from previous semesters, simply share that information with Mark.

Report a student concern

As we move closer toward the end of the semester, student stress and anxiety often increase. If you become concerned about a student's welfare or you observe uncharacteristic changes in behavior, consider reporting a student concern.

How to recognize a student in distress

Did you know? A fun fact from the Registrar...

Sixty-nine percent of degree seeking undergraduates used Degree Works during the month of October to plan their spring 2020 schedules.
