Changes to priority registration for SUM 2020 registration

Accounts Receivable is planning to start assessing tuition based on a student’s campus code. As a result, we are no longer able to assign students an XR campus code for priority registration.

Beginning SUM 2020, a PIN will be designated to students eligible for priority registration. Each semester, eligible students will need to be entered into the system. The system will recognize the PIN on eligible students (students do not need to enter a PIN). We will be working with individual offices to assign PINs.

Fall 2020 course offerings open for viewing Feb. 17; registration begins March 9

Semi-annual re-authorization begins next week

The semi-annual security re-authorization process begins Monday, Feb. 10, and concludes Friday, Feb. 21. Supervisors will have through Friday, Feb. 28, to approve or deny the re-authorization requests.

Security re-authorization allows us to audit access to critical computer systems used at WMU and to ensure that users are familiar and up-to-date with the latest policies. Users and their supervisor will receive an email notification when re-authorization has begun. The email includes instructions on how to complete the electronic re-authorization process. Questions should be directed to the Registrar's Office at (269) 387-4300.

Spring midterm grades due on Feb. 24

Grades can be entered in GoWMU using the Midterm Grade Worksheet. Grades can also be reported through D2L. Additional information on midterm grading, as well as instructions on how to submit midterm grades via Elearning, can be found on our webpage.

Instructors can report students who are not performing well, have excessive absences or missing multiple assignments using the Report Student Academic Concern form located on the Faculty Menu in GoWMU. When a student is reported, the information is sent to the Registrar's Office, Residence Life (if the student is living on campus) and the academic advisor of record (if the student is an undergraduate). Additionally, a comment is added to the “Notes” section in Degree Works. If the student has granted Proxy access to a parent/guardian, the parent/guardian will have access to the Academic Concern note in Degree Works.
