Fall Graduate Assistant (GA) Orientation

The Graduate College is holding Graduate Assistant Orientation, a mandatory training session for newly appointed GAs for the Fall 2023 semester. Appointees will be asked to register to attend one of the synchronous virtual training sessions offered on:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 22, from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 23, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Additionally, a training video will be made available on the GA Orientation website for those unable to attend a synchronous session. GAs do not need to attend multiple sessions, as the information presented will be the same with live sessions adding the benefit of a question and answer period with Graduate College staff.

Training sessions for Teaching Assistant (TA), Research Discovery (RD) and Research Application (RA) appointees will be held as synchronous virtual events on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at 1 p.m. The Graduate Assistant Orientation website has additional event details.
