Last day to drop/add spring classes is Jan. 16

Students may drop and add until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16. After Jan. 16, dropping a class is considered a withdrawal and will show on transcripts with a grade of "W". Courses can be withdrawn from Jan. 17 to March 18. The refund schedule is listed in the calendar at the bottom of this email.

Preparing for spring census

Spring 2024 census will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 16. In preparation, please ensure the correct instructor of record has been entered in Banner for all sections, sections on hold have been canceled or made active and all students attending have been registered so they will be counted (this includes students completing thesis and dissertation hours, independent studies, internships, seminars, etc.).

New dashboard available

The new, interactive Career Outcomes dashboard for 2022-23 graduates is available at wmich.edu/career/outcomes. The dashboard provides details on where our graduates are going, and what experiences they had while at WMU. The data can be filtered by college, department, major and student demographic characteristics, such as race/ethnicity, gender and student population. This dashboard is based on a 77% response rate to the Post-Graduation Activity Survey sent to 2022-23 graduates.

The dashboard is the result of the collaboration between Merze Tate College and Institutional Research. Later this month, this collaborative team will make the last several years of this data available through an interactive dashboard within Cognos, so all faculty, staff and administrators can examine and use the data for program improvement and reporting.
