Application deadlines
Applicants with a BSW requesting admission to the Advanced Standing Program beginning in Summer II semester must apply by January 15. The application portal will open for the Advanced Standing program on December 1.
For applicants seeking admission to the Standard Program 60 credit hour MSW program beginning in the Fall semester, the deadline is February 15*. The application portal for the MSW will open on January 1.
*International applicants must submit application by January 15 to allow time to process travel documents.
Resume/Curriculum Vitae (CV)
A resume or curriculum vitae (CV) is required; please submit within the online application system.
Graduate test
This program does not require a graduate test.
Note: International applicants may have to provide evidence of English language proficiency. More information can be found within the online application.
Recommendations
This program requires three recommendations. Please send email requests for such recommendations from within the online system.
Written statement
The application will include a series of essay questions on social work topics.
Previous written work
This program does not require any previous written work be submitted.

Transcript requirement
An official transcript from the institution from which you received your bachelor degree is required, as well as a transcript from the institution(s) where any additional graduate level courses or degrees have been taken/completed. Applicants are not required to submit an official transcript of courses taken/completed at WMU.
