Diana has an extensive background in marketing and communication, both in scholarly and in applied roles. In the past, she has served as Director of Development at Purdue University, Internship Director, and Communication Specialist in a variety of educational and not-for-profit institutions, as well as owned her own public relations writing firm.
Prior to joining the Graduate College in 2019 as the Graduate Awards Specialist, Diana was the Senior Marketing Specialist in the Office of the Vice President for Research. She has also served as a faculty member at WMU in the School of Communication teaching courses in communication campaigns, public relations program development and crisis communication, having won the Lambda Pi Eta teaching award in communication and being named a Faculty Fellow by the Lee Honors College. She has published journal articles and book chapters, and she has presented multiple convention papers at national and regional conferences in her discipline.
