ADDiction Specialization PROGRAM IN (GRADUATE CERTIFICATE)

  Application deadlines

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. However, the application must be complete (i.e. all official transcripts and required documents received) two weeks prior to the start of any given semester/session or the application will be deferred to the following semester/session. Once a semester/session has started, all applications will be deferred to the following semester/session.

  Resume/Curriculum Vitae (CV)

A resume or curriculum vitae (CV) is required; please submit within the online application system.

  Graduate test

This program does not require a graduate test.

Note: International applicants may have to provide evidence of English language proficiency. More information can be found within the online application.

  Written statement

For the written statement requirement upload a document in which you summarize your experiences in academic, research, creative and/or scholarly activities and indicate how these experiences make you an ideal candidate for graduate study in your selected program.

 Also, address how these experiences align with the strengths of your chosen program, faculty, your own research, creative or scholarly interests and with your professional goals including future jobs or careers. This statement should demonstrate your communication skills and writing competence.

  Other program materials

  Transcript requirement

An official transcript from the institution from which you received your bachelor degree is required, as well as a transcript from the institution(s) where any additional graduate level courses or degrees have been taken/completed. Applicants are not required to submit an official transcript of courses taken/completed at WMU.

  Additional information

Grade Point Average (GPA) - An undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher in a social service/health field is preferred for admission. If the applicant has an undergraduate GPA in a social service/health field that falls below a 3.0, but has significant professional experience in the field, there is the possibility of getting admitted "with conditions."
