The Master of Public Administration mission statement and core values are focused on public-serving organizations, and ensuring that each graduate has a minimal level of experience in public-serving organizations. As such, a detailed vita is relevant to help us determine if you need the professional field experience (PADM 7120) internship or if you should be deemed “in career” at the point of admission and thus have PADM 7120 waived. Please provide a thorough explanation of what specific administrative, managerial, and/or policy analysis experience you have and how it is relevant to public serving organizations (e.g., government, nonprofit organizations, healthcare systems). For example, how many hours a week has your current and past employment focused on specific relevant functions and for how many months/years? This explanation can likely be handled in one page.
