In one essay, please respond to the following two-part question about your documented experience with youth in school settings as well as your professional dispositions. In addition, please use pseudonyms when referring to students or youth with whom you’ve worked if they appear in your examples.

Part 1:
Describe your professional dispositions and how they influence your approach to teaching and learning. In your response, consider criteria such as integrity, equity, collaboration, adaptability, navigation of viewpoints different from our own and response to feedback. Provide specific examples from your academic, professional, or personal experiences that illustrate these dispositions.

Part 2:
Through working with youth in a school setting, describe the insights you have gained towards effective teaching and learning. Within your essay, include how your experiences have shaped how you relate to students, as well as how your experiences have informed how you think about your own cultural background and about the background of the learners you worked with.
