WMU Graduate Student Selected Unanimously for Excellence in Teaching Award

The Graduate College is proud to announce Carlos Lozano as the 2020 Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) master's level teaching excellence award recipient! MAGS consists of 175 institutions from 14 Midwestern states, and each university may submit a single nomination at the master’s and doctoral levels. This award recognizes graduate students who exemplify excellence in the teaching/learning mission of our universities and is highly competitive. Carlos is a native of Veracruz, Mexico and a WMU student in the Master in Music program, where he serves as a Graduate Assistant for the Strings Department. He believes teaching to be one of the most important duties for artists and musicians.
