The right to be forgotten online

Europe's highest court has rulled that search engines grant requests to have embarrassing information and images removed from the Internet in certain cases. The information must be deemed inaccurate or excessive, says Dr. Sandra Borden, a WMU professor of communication.

The fur trade: North American Style

Understanding the relationships between Native Americans and Europeans within the fur trade in southwest Michigan needs reworking, says Dr. Michael Nassaney, WMU professor of anthropology and author of The Archaeology of the North American Fur Trade. He is one of the leaders of work at the Fort St. Joseph archaeological site in Niles, once an important fur trading post.
