The University Libraries will upgrade its Library Search tool on Monday, Dec. 15. The upgrade will have a limited impact on library users, as it is a technical upgrade and will not change the search interface or login process.

The upgrade should be seamless for library users with no downtime anticipated. The search interface and login will look the same, but there will be new links to Library Search and individual items. Users are encouraged to update their bookmarks, even though old links will automatically be redirected.

Unfortunately, searches saved in library accounts will not migrate to the new system. It is recommended that users with saved searches print or take a screenshot of their queries before the upgrade.

This is the first significant upgrade to the Library Search tool since its implementation in 2015, and it will pave the way for future enhancements to the search interface.
