WMU partners to host film, panel discussion on reducing gender bias in STEM fields
Gender bias and a lack of diversity in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields are the topics of a virtual film and panel discussion sponsored by Western Michigan University and other higher education partners advocating for a more diverse, equitable and inclusive STEM workforce. In collaboration with Iowa State University, Michigan Technological University and North Dakota State University, WMU is hosting a screening of the film "Picture a Scientist" followed by a panel discussion at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1.
