Impostor Syndrome in Academia: How to Do Research When You Feel Like a Fraud

Have you ever felt like you are the only one in your program or department who doesn’t know what’s going on? Or like your peers all seem to have their research figured out, but you are barely keeping it together? You are not alone! 

This feeling is called impostor syndrome, and most people in academia feel this way at times. This workshop will provide you with science-backed strategies to address your feelings of fraudulence and feel more confident in your research abilities.

This workshop will cover:

  • Understanding and identifying impostor syndrome.
  • Strategies for combating impostor feelings and getting your research done.
  • Recognizing where you need help in your research process and asking for help without shame.
