Faculty Achievement Award in Global Engagement
The Western Michigan University College of Arts and Sciences Faculty Achievement Award in Global Engagement is one of four Faculty Achievement Awards.
Award selection
The award will be based on an exemplary commitment to global engagement and internationalization, as expressed through research and creative activity; teaching, mentoring, or curriculum transformation; professional service; or a combination of achievements in these areas.
- A substantial part of the achievement shall have been accomplished as a faculty member at Western Michigan University.
- The award will be based on an exemplary commitment to global engagement and internationalization, as expressed through research and creative activity; teaching, mentoring, or curriculum transformation; professional service; or a combination of achievements in these areas.
- The award will usually be based on an accumulated record of achievement in global engagement, rather than a single project or event.
- There should be evidence of wide recognition by the academic, professional or artistic community beyond Western Michigan University.
All awards are subject to final budgetary approval and authorization by the dean of the College.
Faculty who have received a faculty achievement award are not eligible to receive a subsequent award in the same category within five years.
