Meeting Rooms Policy

Western Michigan University Libraries offers WMU faculty and staff meeting space to conduct University business. Meeting rooms may be reserved by University faculty and staff, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Requests for times outside this range require approval from the Office of the Dean and may result in fees for staffing and any additional expenses incurred to accommodate the request.

Twenty-four-hour advance notice is required for all reservations. All reservations from WMU staff and faculty outside the University Libraries require confirmation from the designated room monitor. Reservations may be made up to 120 days in advance of the meeting.

Keys for rooms in Waldo Library will be loaned from the first-floor service desk to the person who made the reservation. Rooms in Swain Library will be unlocked for individuals with reservations.

Rooms are offered as-is, with limited support for room technology. If rearranged, furniture must be returned to its original configuration before leaving.

A purpose of use and number of attendees will be required when submitting a request. Library faculty and staff will receive automatic approval when requesting these rooms for their use.
