Dining locations going cashless Aug. 24

Posted by Emily Hazel on May 28, 2026
Effective August 24, 2026, many Dining Services locations will no longer accept cash as a form of payment. This change will specifically impact the Valley Dining Center, the Student Center Dining, and the eight campus cafes. Moving to cashless operations aims to improve the overall customer experience by reducing security risks and streamlining operations within the locations. The dining centers and campus cafes will accept Dining Dollars, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.

The WMU Student Center first floor retail locations including Starbucks, Mi Pi, Fuego Verde, ReFresh Market and HÔU JIA will continue to accept cash, along with other payment forms.
