CEHD Group Visit Request Form

We are excited to host your group in the College of Education and Human Development at WMU and feel your students will learn a great deal from this visit! Upon review of this completed request form and acknowledgment, the Manager of Recruitment and Outreach will contact you to confirm your visit and discuss available dates.

  • Special Groups: We accept visits of up to 50 students from special groups such as Career and Technical Education classes, teacher cadet groups, TRIO, and other high school level groups with special interests in the College of Education and Human Development majors. We do NOT accept general classroom visits or middle school  aged and younger groups.
  • Chaperones: Group visits require at least 1 chaperone per 10 students. Chaperones must stay with their assigned group. In the instance your group is split up, we require at least one chaperone with each group due to legal and liability reasons. If a chaperone leaves their group unaccompanied for any reason, tour guides reserve the right to end the tour immediately.
  • Group Behavior: Chaperones are responsible for ensuring their group behaves appropriately on campus. Each guest will practice respect for the campus, the tour guides, the presenters, and each other. The group leader will be contacted if individual groups are unable to exhibit proper behavior.
  • Changes in plans: It is expected that the group informs the special visit coordinator if the number of attendees or chaperones increases or decreases within 48 hours of their visit date so we can adjust our staff accordingly .
  • Late arrivals: If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your first activity, we reserve the right to adjust your visit experience accordingly to accommodate allotted time.
  • Cancellation: If your group needs to cancel the arranged visit date and requests another date, please be aware the reservation process restarts. We will do our best to reschedule your visit but cannot guarantee availability.
Please provide the information of the primary group leader who will be in attendance the day of the event.
