KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Get ready to connect at the third annual Waldo Fest on Tuesday, Feb. 11, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Waldo Library. The event brings together RSOs, academic services and student resources into one location to make connecting and getting help convenient for students.

The event will also feature self-care and fun activities like therapy dogs and a scavenger hunt. Students can also get a free, professional headshot during the event, which dovetails nicely with Western’s career fairs happening in February.

The event was created in 2023 to help students stay connected after the rush of fall activities and events fades into a quieter spring semester.

“I wanted to create a fun, social event for students so they could connect to services and offices in the spring semester,” said Dr. Kate Langan, engagement librarian and Waldo Fest organizer. “They can take advantage of services for the rest of the semester.

Events like Bronco Bash and Waldo Fest bring services and resources students need into one place, making it easy to discover and access. Students can get immediate help and information from over 30 campus offices this year.

Waldo Fest is free and open to all Western students. Register for Waldo Fest today or walk in to join the event.
