Thank you for your interest in the College of Arts and Sciences at Western Michigan University! We are excited to assist you throughout your transfer process. Follow the steps below to get started on your journey with WMU.

    View transfer guides and agreements
    Visit our transfer advising page and click through our community college transfer agreements. From there, select the transfer guide for your major and for the general education curriculum to view community college courses that will transfer.

    Check WMU's list of articulation agreements to see if one exists for your school and major. If you are interested in completing an articulation agreement, contact your program advisor in the College of Arts and Sciences advising office.

Meet with a WMU advisor
Schedule an academic advising appointment online to learn how your credits transfer and plan your classes at WMU. Incoming transfer students are required to meet with a WMU academic advisor before you can register for WMU classes. All appointments are currently available over the phone only.

Virtual experience options
Interested in exploring campus? Sign up for a Virtual Main Campus Tour with a student ambassador and Academic Spotlight session to experience both WMU and the College of Arts and Sciences. (Note: the A&S virtual sessions do not include an academic advising appointment.)

Apply to WMU
Visit the Office of Admissions page to apply to WMU or check your application status.

Apply for scholarships
WMU has multiple areas where you can apply for scholarships. You must have completed your application to WMU by the scholarship deadline to be considered.

Finalize admission requirements
Complete your remaining steps on the Office of Admissions’ Admitted Transfer Student Checklist to confirm your admission, sign up for the Transition Orientation Program, send final transcripts and complete other important tasks to prepare for your first semester at WMU.
