CEHD Cares Day is a part of National Education Week. As a major producer of the next generation of educators, we are celebrating our local community and alumni who are doing great work by giving back! Below is a compiled list of all initiatives going on for Cares Day and Education Week.
School Supply Drive
November 18-22 | Sangren 2421: CEHD will be collecting school supplies for KPS and KRESA.
Blind Date with a Book
November 12, 3-7 | Lobbies of Sangren Hall, Brown Hall and the Student Center: CEHD FYE students are selling wrapped books. All earnings will be donated to Read and Write Kalamazoo.
Thank K12 Teachers
November 18-22 | Sangren 2421: Write a letter of appreciation to your favorite K12 teacher around the nation and we will mail it out!
The Campus Closet
November 18-22 | Sangren 2421: CEHD will be collecting interview ready clothing for our seniors. Clothing may be gently worn or used.
Hygiene Kits for YWCA
During class, CEHD First-Year Experience students will be packing hygiene kits for Kalamazoo's YWCA.
Drive for Bronson Children's Hospital
November 11 - December 9 | Child Life RSO is holding a drive to collect requested items for pediatric patients at Bronson Children's Hospital. Donations can be brought to Kohrman Hall, Room 3214.
Food Drive for Twelve Baskets Food Pantry
November 17-22 | Student Dietetic Association will be collecting both non-pershible food items and non-food items for Twelve Baskets. Donation boxes can be found in Kohrman, Student Center and Firedmann.
