Four CEHD faculty recognized at Virtual Spring Convocation

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Among the 36 faculty and staff recognized by the Western Michigan University Office of Research and Innovation during the 2021 Virtual Spring Convocation were four members of the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD). The awards were given to recognize external funding accomplishments in the 2019-2020 Fiscal Year.

Dr. Patricia Reeves, Professor of Educational Leadership, Research and Technology and Dr. Jianping Shen, Professor of Educational Leadership, Evaluation, Measurement and Leadership and Co-Director of the Wallace Foundation Grant, received awards for External Expenditures above $500,000. Dr. Ming Li, Dean of the College of Education, received the Largest New Foundation Award, and Dr. Andrea Beach, Professor of Educational Leadership in Higher Education and Co-Director of the WMU Center for Research on Institutional Change in Postsecondary Education (CRICPE) received the College Award.

The recipients were honored at a virtual ceremony on April 16, 2021.
