Position: Administrative Assistant I, Department of Family and Consumer Sciences
What is your new role with CEHD and what is your favorite thing about it so far?
I am the Administrative Assistant 1 for Family and Consumer Sciences. I love the newness and daily differences.
What was your professional journey like before this role? How did you come into this role?
I have always worked with kids. I worked at daycares, in elementary schools. I focused on Early Elementary Education in college, then life took me elsewhere. I had my eye on broadening my experiences. I started looking and took a leap. Nailed It:)
What has been your relationship with WMU thus far? Are you an alum? Have you worked here prior? Etc. Football and Hockey had been my relationship! I came on campus for games.
Where is your go-to spot in Kalamazoo? West Lake, technically in Portage. It is my happy place.
You’re taking the day off! What do you do for fun? Currently I would be snuggling with my old pup and binging shows that I never get to watch.
One great benefit of being in Korhman Hall is all the great food our Nutrition and Dietetics students cook. If they could make you anything at all, what food would you want? I do not care! I will try anything, and I did not make it or need to clean it up.
If you had a superpower what would it be? Teleportation.
