The PlaneSense First Officer (FO) is a vital PC-12 crew member. They act as second in command of a modern, state-of-the-art, high performance, turboprop aircraft. The FO reports to the Captain throughout all phases of flight operations, and shares decision making regarding safety.
FO duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preflight Inspection
- Overall care and cleanliness of the aircraft
- Updating instrument charts
- Obtaining IFR clearances
- Participation in flight planning and weather evaluation
- Flying the PC-12
- Providing a superior level of customer service to our owners and passengers
Schedule:
- 8 Days on duty/6 days off
- After completion of 1 year of flying service, pilots are awarded 1 cycle of annual vacation. After 4 years, 2 cycles of annual vacation. After 13 years, 3 cycles of annual vacation
- Pilots earn 4 sick days per year (one per quarter). Rollover and buy back options are available
Compensation:
- A First Officer candidate becomes an employee once they pass their check ride during initial training
- Starting annual salary for FO's is $32,000
- Upon completion of 6 months of service, salary is increased to $36,000 followed by annual increases thereafter
- The FO holiday premium is $200
- Overtime rates are $400 per day
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
- Commercial pilot, SEL instrument-rated
- 1st or 2nd class medical certificate
- Total flight time/fixed wing preferred min, 1,000 hours
What do they look for?
- Superior customer service skills
- Extensive IFR and VFR knowledge and skills
- Corporate and/or turbine experience (though not required)
- Current SEL instrument time
