Job: UAS Flight Operations - AVO/MPO
Posted by Reina Cooke on April 9, 2019Supports customer (UAS) flight operations by performing duties as an AVO and/or MPO. The selected individual shall attend platform specific training at a site in Utah and then travel overseas in support of customer requirements. Personnel may be based remotely or at our Tucson, AZ location.
Responsibilities: The AVO is responsible for coordinating ground and flight operations including mission planning, execution, and debriefing; safe operation of the aircraft; aircrew resource management; and customer coordination. The MPO will be responsible for sensor operation, product development, aircrew resource management, and customer coordination. A professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and eagerness to expand a growing platform is required. The selected individual will be comfortable working with an experimental program, able to voice recommendations for manual updates, and flexible enough to adapt to sudden changes in mission tasking.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active Secret (or higher) Clearance
- FAA Private Pilot Certificate plus Instrument rating
- Previous qualifications as UAS AVO
- Piccolo autopilot experience
- 300 hours as Pilot in Command (Unmanned)
- Ability to deploy OCONUS
- Excellent verbal communication skills
Preferred Requirements
- Previous deployment experience
- Multiple UAS platform experience
- Previous qualification as UAS Payload Operator (PO) or Mission Commander/Coordinator (MC)
