Overview
Ready for an internship where you can apply your skills acquired in coursework into a real-world business setting? BISSELL is currently looking for a paid, part-time intern to work in our Corporate Aviation function, located at BISSELL’s hangar at Gerald Ford International Airport.
The individual in this role will serve as a vital team member within the Corporate Aviation function, reporting to the Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician. The intern will perform a variety of day-to-day tasks, as outlined below.

Responsibilities
- Ensure safe working environment in respect to aircraft maintenance, line operation
- Provide recommendations for proper ground support equipment
- Ensure hangar, stockroom and associated hanger rooms are clean, safe and secure
- Minor hangar repairs
- Snowplowing at the hangar and clearing sidewalks
- Responsible for assisting in towing of aircraft in/out of hangar and fueling of aircraft
- Handling arrivals and departures of aircraft
- Loading and unloading passengers luggage
- Aircraft interior cleaning before and after each flight
- Washing passenger cars
- Refill Fuel Truck
- Janitorial services of facility
- Assume other responsibilities as delegated by the Flight Crew/Senior Maintenance Tech.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate degree program in Aviation Science, Technology,
Maintenance/Operations or a closely related field. 3.0 GPA or greater preferred
- Valid Driver's License
- High level of attention to detail
- Desire to learn/improve skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lift heavy objects and equipment
- Comfortable working in varying weather climates (snow, ice, rain, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a team environment
- Experience towing and fueling aircraft helpful
