Aviation Student Entrepreneur Scholarship
ASSOCIATION FOR WOMEN IN AVIATION MAINTENANCE
Thank you for your interest in the 2021 AWAM Scholarship Program. This year we are taking applications electronically. Follow the link to the on-line application at www.awam.org/scholarships. If you have difficulty accessing our on-line application, please email us at @email for further assistance. Please read the brief description below for further details on this year’s application process.
Application Limits - AWM scholarships are split into two categories.
- You may apply for up to 3 Category I scholarships.
- You may apply for up to 3 Category II scholarships.
- In total, you can apply for up to 6 scholarships between the two categories.
Membership - You must be an active AWAM member to apply for a scholarship. If you are not currently a member, please go to our website to join www.awam.org/membership.
Requirements - Some scholarships are only open to female applicants. This will be specified in the Requirements section after each scholarship description.
Documentation - Please scan the following documents into a single PDF file in the order they are listed below. You must attach a separate set of application documents for each scholarship you are applying for that requires an extra essay.

- Essay(s) - Please include a 250-word essay explaining your interest in aviation. Some scholarships will require an additional essay. This will be specified in the Requirements section after each scholarship description.
- Two Letters of Recommendation
- Copy of A&P Certificate (for mechanics) or unofficial copy of transcripts (for students) If you have any questions, please email us at @email.
There are no gender restrictions unless otherwise stated in the requirements. Applicants affiliated with scholarship and award sponsor organizations, are not restricted from participation. AWAM Board of Directors and Scholarship Committee members are NOT eligible for consideration. You may apply for up to three Category I Scholarships and up to three Category II Scholarships

Aviation Student Entrepreneur Scholarship (II)

This scholarship is donated by Richard Peri, Editor-in-Chief of Aviation Entrepreneur Magazine. Aviation Entrepreneur Magazine represents “more than flight” by providing essential business information to help all aviation entrepreneurs start and operate a successful aviation business. This company wants to help an aviation student entrepreneur by presenting him/her with this scholarship consisting of a $500 cash award.
Requirements: •
- Applicants must be an A&P or avionics student at an aviation technical school located in the USA.
- Applicants must include a short essay (250 words) explaining their entrepreneurial goals.
- Applicant must be located in the USA
