WAI: Tools for Aircraft Maintenance (TAM) Scholarship
WOMEN IN AVIATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Women in Aviation International is thrilled to offer the 2022 WAI scholarship program featuring a variety of career pursuits. Scholarships include funding to further members' interests in aerospace engineering, aviation maintenance, flight training, helicopter ratings, dispatch, and professional development.
Applications are due October 12, 2021, and you must be an active WAI member by October 1, 2021, to apply. The 2022 scholarships will be awarded during the 33rd Annual International Women in Aviation Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, March 17-19, 2022.

Tools for Aircraft Maintenance (TAM) Scholarship
The TAM Scholarship was created after sponsor Carolyn Burton, an American Airlines mechanic, identified a need for providing tools to a female student starting out in aircraft maintenance. The TAM scholarship includes $2,500 worth of tools of your choice. In addition, Snap-On Industrial generously contributes an aviation starter tool kit valued at $2,500. This scholarship is specifically for the purchase of tools for a currently enrolled full-time female student in maintenance training for airframe and powerplant certificates. Power Plant Certificates. This scholarship is not applied toward education costs. It is for tools only. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents. Finalists will be interviewed and must attend the WAI2022 conference in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 17 -- 19. The scholarship does not include lodging or transportation.
