Michigan Association of Airport Executives
MAAE Robert Peckham Academic Scholarship
In 2023, MAAE is partnering with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) to offer five (5) scholarships in the amount of $2,000.00 per student. Scholarship applications are evaluated, and interviews conducted by the MAAE Scholarship Committee and are awarded by the MAAE Executive Board.
Scholarship recipients are encouraged to attend an MAAE Conference (Winter or Fall) within 12 months of receiving the award. Registration fees will be waived and mileage expenses may be reimbursed with prior approval.
To apply, please complete all requested information on the scholarship application, sign and submit with accompanying documentation no later than June 5, 2023 at 5:00pm.
Applicant Criteria:
- Currently enrolled in an aviation-related academic program in a Michigan college, university or technical training program, or a resident of Michigan enrolled in an aviation program outside the state.
- Sophomore, junior or senior standing at the time the application is submitted.
- Not a previous recipient of the MAAE scholarship.
- Available for a short interview with a representative from the MAAE Scholarship Committee to be considered for a scholarship award.
Application Requirements:
Completed application form.
Certification of enrollment and/or transcripts in an aviation-related academic program in a Michigan college, university, or technical training program.
Paper-typed, double-spaced, 250 word (maximum) on an aviation topic of your choice.
Letter of Recommendation from a member of the Aviation Department Faculty at the college, university, or training program at which you are currently enrolled.
