Why did you choose nutrition and dietetics program?

I chose the nutrition and dietetics program, because my brother actually went to WMU. And I love to cook and also the college that I was at prior to WMU did not have a nutrition and dietetics program, so I felt that WMU was the best fit for me.
What is your favorite memory from the program?

My favorite memory in the program was baking brownies within my experimental class. We were able to really look at the different characteristics of brownies when you alter the ingredients within the recipe.
What was your role in the Student Dietetics Association (SDA)?

I was the president of the SGA and responsible for a lot of communication and a lot of organizing and implementing any volunteer opportunities.
Why should someone join the SDA?

You should join the SDA because it presents a lot of volunteer opportunities and also networking. It is also a great resume builder.

The nutrition and dietetics major equips students with the foundational knowledge needed for a career in the field of dietetics. The program meets the academic requirements of the didactic program in dietetics and is accredited by ACEND, the accrediting agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Overview

The Student Dietetic Association is compiled by current dietetic students and others in the campus community interested in food and nutrition. Members benefit from volunteer opportunities, networking, and assistance with the dietetic internship process.
