Aviation Intern - Procter and Gamble Application

2024 CORPORATE AVIATION STUDENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (SDP)
PILOT & MAINTENANCE CORPORATE AVIATION SDP

OVERVIEW:

This program is a one week educational “hands-on” seminar which is designed to provide an accurate and comprehensive insight into the operation and management of a corporate aviation department. Selected students will spend one week in August at Procter & Gamble’s Global Flight Operations (GFO) in Cincinnati, Ohio. Students will spend the first 3½ days of the program at the hangar meeting with managers and key personnel of different departments to gain an understanding into the management and operation of a large corporate flight department.  Two days will be spent with aircraft orientation, aspects of flight planning, line maintenance, and participating in flight observation rides on scheduled trips.  Activities and presentations are designed to provide a detailed look into the management of a corporate operation, the duties & responsibilities of a corporate pilot or maintenance technician, and the lifestyle considerations of a career in corporate aviation.

TERM:

One week:  Typically, second week in August, determined by P&G

LOCATION:

P&G Global Flight Operations: Lunken Airport, Cincinnati, Ohio.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • PILOT: Any degree program in an aviation related field (pilot curriculum preferred).
  • MAINTENANCE: Any certificate or degree program in an aviation related field (maintenance curriculum preferred)
  • PILOT & MAINTENANCE:
  1. Minimum Freshman status in program, returning in fall semester.
  2. Working toward FAA pilot and/or maintenance certification.
  3. High academic standing.
  4. Demonstrate an interest in Corporate Aviation as a career option.
  5. Be willing to share your experiences and provide feedback to students and faculty upon return from the program.
EXPENSES:
  • Travel expenses to/from Cincinnati will be paid by P&G. The Program Coordinator will arrange travel plans with each student following selection to the program.
  • All expenses associated with the Program will be paid by P&G.

2024 MAINTENANCE INTERNSHIP

OVERVIEW:

The Procter and Gamble Company is offering a paid internship to one aviation maintenance student to provide outstanding corporate aviation work and learning experiences over the course of the summer. The intern will report to the Director of Maintenance. Activities will include 3-4 assigned projects, hands-on daily duties & responsibilities, and planned professional development courses. The intern will also have the opportunity to participate in flight observations on the G650 aircraft.

TERM:

12 weeks: May - August (specific dates worked with selectee)

LOCATION:

P&G Global Flight Operations: Lunken Airport, Cincinnati, Ohio.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Enrolled in a certificate or degree program in an aviation related field (maintenance curriculum preferred).
  • Returning student in fall semester.
  • FAA Airframe or Powerplant license complete by start of internship.
  • High academic standing.
  • Demonstrate an interest in Corporate Aviation as a career option.
  • Be willing to share experiences and provide feedback to students and faculty upon return from the program.

2024 PILOT INTERNSHIP:

OVERVIEW:

The Procter & Gamble Company is offering a paid Aviation Internship to one pilot student to provide outstanding corporate aviation work and learning experiences over the course of the summer. The intern will report to the Chief Pilot. Activities will include 3-4 internship assigned projects, daily duties & responsibilities, and planned professional development courses. Flight activities will include observation flights to allow the intern to gain insight and experience into life as a corporate pilot. Pilot intern flight experience will include the opportunity to participate in both overnight and international flights. As the flight schedule allows, the pilot intern’s flight orientation will also include a week of systems & simulator recurrent training with a P&G crew in either the G650 or CL350 aircraft.

TERM:

12 weeks: May - August (specific dates worked with selectee)

LOCATION:

P&G Global Flight Operations: Lunken Airport, Cincinnati, Ohio.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in an aviation related field (professional pilot curriculum preferred).
  • Minimum junior status in Bachelor’s or minimum first year in Master’s program, returning in fall semester
  • Instrument rating complete and at least enrolled in Commercial and/or Multi-Engine flight course.
  • High academic standing.
  • Demonstrate an interest in Corporate Aviation as a career option.
  • Be willing to share experiences and provide feedback to students and faculty upon return from the program.
