Timeline of events:

8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. – Optional WMU Open House
If you would like to have a full day of programming on campus including touring residence halls, visiting with financial aid, and other WMU resources, join WMU Admissions for their October 24h Open House. Register here.
 
4 p.m. – Tour of the Fashion Labs with Dagny
Park at Sangren Hall Lot 41 and meet in the lobby
 
5 p.m. – Backstage MODA Experience
WMU Student Center, 3rd Floor
 
5:30 p.m. – Dinner at Student Center Dining
WMU Student Center, Student Center Ballroom
 
6:30 p.m. – VIP Seats at Written in the Stars: A Celestial Gala
WMU Student Center, Student Center Ballroom
 
7 p.m. – Written in the Stars Gala Begins

Merchandising Opportunities and Design Association, or MODA, is the registered student organization at WMU representing fashion majors and minors. Joining this organization offers opportunities to network and develop leadership and teamwork skills. Members produce several fashion shows each year and participate in community service activities.

Step into the night sky where the fashion is ethereal and grand. Written in the Stars is a one-of-a-kind fashion show celebrating the awe of the galaxy we live in. This year, following the show, there will be opportunities for dance and mingling. Join us for a night of galactic fashion, music, and intrigue!

You are responsible for transportation from your home to WMU’s Main Campus (Lot 41). Once on campus all experiences are within walking distance.

We encourage you to embrace the occasion by dressing to the theme, as our fashion-forward community loves to make a statement with their attire. While there isn't a specific dress code, we believe that dressing up adds to the overall experience and festive atmosphere of the event. 

If you are attending the WMU Admissions Open House before our evening begins, walking shoes are recommended for campus tours.

You may bring one guest who is invited to all festivities. Their dinner and fashion show ticket is included in the experience. Guest information must be included when you RSVP.
