KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Bo Klauth, student in Evaluation, Measurement and Research in the College of Education and Human Development at Western Michigan University, has been selected by Educational Testing Services (ETS) to join the October meeting on Training Researchers to Use PIAAC to Further Multidisciplinary Research in Chicago, IL. This training aims to build the capacity of researchers from multiple fields to use the PIAAC (The Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies) database and related analysis tools. PIAAC is a large survey that links responses to a comprehensive background questionnaire to an assessment of adult skills in literacy, numeracy and problem solving. Participants will get hands-on practice and feedback on their research projects. This training is part of an NCER (National Center for Education Research) training grant awarded to ETS.
