In the College of Arts and Sciences at Western Michigan University, we bring together world-class researchers, teachers and learners to provide a high-quality liberal arts education that bridges the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences.
We offer 72 majors across our 26 schools, programs, and departments, but we believe that a college education is about much more than providing tools for a specific career. In the College of Arts and Sciences, we provide a variety of learning experiences that will serve as the foundation for continuous discovery and lifelong learning. Our students are prepared with a core set of skills and values that will allow them to adapt, learn and lead as both they, and the world around them, continue to change.
Graduates are prepared for much more than a career. They are innovative, adaptable, leaders for the twenty-first century. Driven by our eight core values, the college promotes and sustains an intellectually challenging, dynamic community that is learner centered, discovery driven, and globally engaged and provides an education that is truly foundational for lifelong learning and continuous discovery.
