Fitness Options
University Recreation at Western Michigan University offers a wide range of fitness and wellness opportunities to meet your needs. WMU is the only university in the state of Michigan to have their own F45 Functional Training studio! We offer a wide variety of fitness classes, functional training classes, personal training, wellness workshops and more. There are some fees associated with some of the programs and passes may be necessary for admission to certain classes. Additionally, completion of a physical activity readiness questionnaire is required prior to initial participation.

F45 Functional Training
F45 is a functional training program that incorporates a variety of fun and efficient workouts. Classes are a 45 minute high intensity, circuit training workout.

Group Fitness
Motivating, enthusiastic and energy-packed instructors will lead you in classes that consist of a variety of cardiovascular activities, as well as strengthening, flexibility and relaxation exercises designed to meet the needs of all fitness levels.

Personal Training
The personal training program is designed to assist students, faculty and staff in reaching their fitness goals. A variety of times and packages are available to meet your needs.
