Kevin High

Kevin High is a professor in the College of Aviation at Western Michigan University (WMU). He has worked at WMU since the Fall semester 2000. Kevin is a FAA certified mechanic and pilot. He has taught many different courses at WMU including courses for the students in Aviation Technical Operations, Aviation Management and Operations, and Aviation Flight Science programs. Earlier in his career, Kevin work as a technical support engineer at a large turbine engine manufacturer and a major U.S. airline.

In 2021 he published his first book, Introduction to Aircraft Structures, Systems, and Powerplants. This textbook is used in AVS 1220, Introduction to Airframes and System and AVS 1225 Introduction to Aircraft Powerplants courses at WMU.

He is a long time editorial board member for the ATEC Journal. The ATEC Journal is a scholarly peer reviewed/refereed publication targeted at the aviation industry.
