Bio:

Mr. Jansen earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Education with a minor in Physics from Grand Valley State University and a Master of Arts in Workforce Education Development and Leadership at Western Michigan University. He is an FAA Certified Airframe and Powerplant mechanic and a former United States Air Force Technical Aircraft Specialist, with extensive experience maintaining F-15 and F-16 fighter aircraft. Mr. Jansen has worked as a team lead at Boeing on the 787 Dreamliner, and has taught aviation maintenance at both the secondary and collegiate level. He currently serves as a Faculty Specialist in the College of Aviation at WMU, where he teaches courses in aircraft systems, electrical theory, advanced troubleshooting, and structures. Mr. Jansen is also active on multiple aviation education advisory boards across Michigan and contributes to national FAA Part 147 curriculum reform initiatives.
