Emily joined the College of Aviation’s Technical Operations program in 2025. She also holds an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate.

Emily brings twelve years of experience in the aerospace industry to her role at WMU. She began her career in high school working line service, later advancing to Aircraft Services Manager while still a university student. She has performed heavy maintenance on Dassault Falcon and Gulfstream business jets in MRO environments, during and after her apprenticeship. She later transitioned to the space industry, where she worked as a spacecraft technician, technical writer, project manager, and payload integration engineer at SpaceX. There, she supported human spaceflight missions and the launches of hundreds of satellites, led payload integration for customer missions, and developed technical training curriculum adopted across multiple sites.

Passionate about education and mentorship, Emily has promoted diversity in aerospace through STEM outreach events, industry mentorship programs, and by hiring and training interns. She values the mentors who helped shape her career and now seeks to provide that same guidance to her students, sharing both her technical expertise and enthusiasm for the aerospace field.
