Bio:

Jeff Woodside earned a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Western Michigan University. He is an FAA-certified Airframe and Powerplant mechanic who holds an inspection authorization and is also a Commercial/Instrument-rated pilot in both rotary and fixed-wing aircraft. Mr. Woodside served as a Maintenance Test Pilot in the U.S. Army, where he performed advanced troubleshooting, repair, and flight testing of UH-60L Blackhawk helicopters across global assignments including Japan, Korea, and the U.S. He has also worked as an avionics engineer, lab instructor, and machinist, with extensive hands-on experience in fabrication, prototyping, and vintage vehicle restoration. Mr. Woodside currently serves teaching at Western Michigan University, where he applies his broad mechanical and flight expertise to support the College of Aviation’s Technical Operations and Flight Science programs.
