Industry Connections
Western Michigan University has a strong reputation within the aviation industry, consistently viewed as one of the countries premiere programs. WMU Alumni are highly regarded, respected and recruited from all facets of the aviation industry: corporate, commercial and military. Because of this reputation, the College of Aviation has cultivated and developed many partnerships within the industry: Cirrus Aircraft, Duncan Aviation, ExpressJet, Envoy Air, Endeavor Air, Avidyne Corporation and many others.
The College of Aviation also hosts a variety of agreements with various companies to bridge the gap between education and employment. Internship opportunities exist with companies such as Duncan Aviation, the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport, Michigan Business Aviation Association, West Michigan Business Aviation Association, Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Republic Airways, and many more. Furthermore, the College of Aviation is home to a number of hiring agreements with regional airlines including ExpressJet, Envoy Air, SkyWest Airlines and many more.
