15th Annual WMU Aviation Golf Outing

It's almost here!  The 15th Annual WMU Aviation Golf Outing! This fun-draising event will take place on Monday, June 15, 2026, at either Gull Lake View or Stoatin Brae. As a WMU employee, we’re offering you a special discount to join us this year — because we know you wouldn't want to miss out on all the fun!

To accommodate all levels of play (because not all of us are Scottie Scheffler), we’re offering two courses to choose from:

Premium Golf - Premium Golf - Ready to play on the 2021 National Course of the Year? Stoatin Brae awaits! With wide-open fairways, windswept greens, and fast, firm conditions, it’s not for the faint of heart. At 6,742 yards from the tips, par is 71, and you’ll need to bring your A-game — but don’t worry, you don’t have to be a pro to enjoy this course! Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just out to have some fun, Stoatin Brae’s unique design is sure to challenge and inspire all skill levels. This is the kind of course that makes you feel like a pro — even if you're just trying to avoid a triple bogey. To sign up for this format, there’s a $140 team upcharge ($35 per golfer), which includes entry to Stoatin Brae and enters your team into a random drawing. Two lucky teams will split half the pot, with the other half going to the scholarship fund. (Cheats? No chance — we’re all about fair play here!)

Comical – For the rest of us! Let’s be real — not all of us are serious golfers. If you're more about laughs than low scores, this is the format for you. Buy yourself a trophy, use all the cheats, and just have a blast! It’s all in good fun — and remember, the money raised helps support the WMU College of Aviation Alumni and Friends Scholarship Fund.
