WAI: American Airlines $5K Flight Educational Scholarship
WOMEN IN AVIATION SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarship awards are a major benefit of membership in Women in Aviation International and help members reach their goals and advance into the aviation and aerospace careers they have always dreamed about. Women in Aviation International is thrilled to offer the 2022 WAI scholarship program featuring a variety of career pursuits. Scholarships include funding to further members' interests in aerospace engineering, aviation maintenance, flight training, helicopter ratings, dispatch, and professional development.
Applications are due October 12, 2021, and you must be an active WAI member by October 1, 2021, to apply. The 2022 scholarships will be awarded during the 33rd Annual International Women in Aviation Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, March 17-19, 2022.

American Airlines $5K Flight Educational Scholarship
American Airlines will award a $5K educational scholarship to a qualified WAI member that has a high school diploma and a willingness to develop skills that will lead to a career as a professional airline pilot. The applicant must be at least 18 years of age at the date of application; have enrolled in a private pilot ground school course, or have logged flight time with a certified flight instructor. The funds may be used for flight training such as private pilot, instrument, multiengine, commercial, instructor, or ATP. Funds are not applicable toward a sport or recreational pilot certificate. In addition to the WAI scholarship application requirements, applicants must also address the following three questions: How would this scholarship help you achieve your career goals? Why did you apply for this scholarship? How have you demonstrated your involvement with WAI?
